This summer my garden produced a bountiful harvest of carrots, onion, squash, pumpkins, beans, jalapeno peppers, beets, potatoes, and a few tomatoes. I planted 75 tomato plants and the blight devastated the entire crop The tomato garden looked like a war zone. I could not even take a picture. My thoughts of fresh aromatic homemade salsa simmering on the wood fired cookstove are, but a mere dream. But on a happier note, It is time to put the garden to bed for the winter. And enjoy the beauty of fall.
